MI (Mineral Insulated) Thermocouple type K for free installation of MI and cable
MI (Mineral Insulated)  is a thermocouple placed in a heat resistant tube. In the interior of the tube is pressed mineral insulation.  Thus obtained mantle conductor can be pulled to achieve very small diameters without affect measuring thermocouple or resistance .  MI thermocouples are 2 to 3 times more expensive than conventional thermocouples. Although mantle wire much like a metal tube , its properties allow repeatedly bending radius properly , so that it can be applied for the relief of the object.
